At the door
Get in Touch
Messages from readers are one of the best parts of running this magazine. Questions, suggestions and gentle corrections all help shape what we write next, and several of our recent guides started with one short message. This page explains how to reach us and what to expect when you do.
How to reach us
The simplest way is email: office@fcckeokuk.net. The form on this page does the same thing; it opens your own email program with the message ready, so nothing is stored on our side until you press send yourself.
We do not have an office, a phone line or social media accounts that we answer from. Email reaches the writers directly.
What you can write to us about
- Ideas for articles — a question about hosting, travelling, food, home projects or technology at home that you would like answered.
- Questions about a guide — if a step was unclear or did not work for you, tell us what happened.
- Mistakes — an out-of-date detail, a broken link or a plain error. Our page about corrections explains what helps us fix things quickly.
- Your own experience — a reunion that worked brilliantly, a packing trick, a dinner party disaster with a happy ending.
What we cannot help with
We are writers, not professionals, so we cannot give personal advice on health, money, legal matters, electrical work or building safety. We also do not rank providers on request. Keep passwords, bank details and similar private information out of your emails to us.
When to expect a reply
We read every message. Replies can take a little while when we are busy, but corrections are always looked at first. If your question becomes the basis for an article, we will not use your name or details without asking.
Before you write
You might find your answer already waiting. Our planning lists collect quick checklists for parties, trips and home projects, and the areas we cover page shows where each subject lives. Recent guides such as how to pack for a cruise came straight from reader questions.
Your privacy
We use your email address only to reply and delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed. The privacy policy has the full details.

Helpful things to include
None of this is required, but each item helps us reply faster and more usefully.
- The title or address of the article you mean
- What you tried and what happened
- A source if you are reporting a mistake
- Whether we may mention your question in a guide
- No passwords or account numbers, please
